Storytelling has a long tradition in the history of Islamic education, dating back to the time of the Prophet Muḥammad. It is one of the traditional forms of Islamic education to convey values, virtues as well as attitudes. Besides, it constructs cultural phenomena such as beliefs, knowledge, behaviors, and values and preserves them in the collective memory. Against this background, the international symposium Mawlānā Jalāl al-Dīn Rûmî in Today’s Education: Rethinking Methodology will be held from 11 to 13 October 2024. It is organized by our professor Tuba Iṣık (Islamic Religious Studies and Practical Theology), our research assistant Elif Emirahmetoğlu and Elif Erhan (Üsküdar University).
